On Monday 4 December the Mayor Maree Statham made her very popular annual visit to aged care facility residents of Lithgow.
The annual Mayor’s Christmas Appeal offers the chance to reflect on the aged members of the Lithgow community, the contributions they have made and their needs also.
Staff and residents of Respect Aged Care, Three Tree lodge and Tabulam Residential Aged Care welcomed the Mayor Maree Statham and spoke about the care and support that is provided. “I am very pleased to see how the 167 elderly local people living in these facilities are treated with respect. The three aged care residential facilities have dedicated workers who care for residents honourably while actively encouraging their autonomy. It is comforting to see,” said the Mayor.
84 gifts were distributed by the Mayor to Three Tree Lodge and Tabulam residents, and by request, Respect – Cooinda residents received a donation of native plants to decorate the facility’s entrance while they undergo major renovations.
The Mayor was received with Christmas songs, jokes and overall, a good afternoon was had by all.
