Celebrate Penguin Foreshore Playground Opening Monday 11 December 2023

Central Coast Council is excited to share the news that the long-awaited completion of Penguin Foreshore Playground has arrived. To celebrate, Council invites the community to attend the Penguin Foreshore Park opening.   

When: Monday 11 December 2023, 10am – 12pm

Where: Penguin Foreshore Park, Main Road, Penguin

What: To thank the community for their patience, celebrate the arrival of summer and the completion of Penguin Foreshore Park, Council will be holding an event with free facepainting, ice-cream and children’s entertainment.

“We are delighted to be able to present this beautiful new space to the community and know they have been eagerly awaiting the Penguin Foreshore Playground’s completion.” Said Mayor Cheryl Fuller.

“Council wanted to celebrate this with the community and activate the space once and for all! We look forward to seeing families enjoy the Penguin Foreshore for many years to come.” She said.

It was extremely important that Council did all necessary safety checks and finishing touches to ensure this space was ready for the community to enjoy.

“Despite some delays with the delivery of certain playground parts, Council was determined to completing the Penguin Playground in time for the community to enjoy over summer.  We’d like to thank the Works, Depot, Buildings and Facilities teams for working so hard to bring this fantastic space to the community.” – Said Mark Wisniewski, Manager Asset Services & Infrastructure Services, Central Coast Council
