Development application DA2023/80 – 34 Lot Subdivision (Corner of Edward and Alice Streets, Moree)

Council can confirm that it has received a development application from SMK QLD on behalf of the Moree Aboriginal Land Council. The application is for the land located on the corner of Edward and Alice Streets, Moree. The application is for a subdivision to create 34 lots.

Council’s General Manager Mr Kelvin Tytherleigh states: Council has been made aware of posts circulating on social media suggesting Council is holding a public meeting regarding this application. This is not correct, nor is the matter listed for discussion at the December Ordinary Council Meeting.

The assessment of this application is proceeding in accordance with normal processes consistent with Council’s policies and relevant legislation. Council will not be deviating from the required assessment process.

Any person may make a written submission in respect to the proposed development. The closing date for comments is 5pm, Thursday 11 January 2024.
