Public notice: Temporary halt to animal surrenders

Please be advised that council will not be accepting animal surrenders beginning Friday 15 December 2023 to Tuesday 2 January 2024 at 8.30 am.

All council offices will be closed to the public beginning Friday 22 December 2023 at 12.00 pm and will re-open on Tuesday 2 January 2024 at 8.30 am.

Please note, council is also continuing remedial works at the Animal Management Centre (Emerald pound) following a previously advised Canine Parovirus case that may delay the opening of the facility in the new year.
