Fish Lane Town Square,59 Melbourne St, South Brisbane QLD 4101 Ongoing through Monday, January 29, 2024 Have you every wondered what our cities would look like if we asked young people to reimagine the future? The Bureau of Little Architects display at Fish Lane vitrines offers you a snapshot of this alternate possible future, along with a manifesto of big and little ideas penned by the community.Cities are spaces that are constantly evolving and changing, shaped by the people of today for the people of tomorrow – and that’s exactly where The Bureau of Little Architects comes in! The city scapes and manifesto on display at Fish Lane were created by curious and brilliant young minds (the Little Architects), who worked with their parents and grandparents to help us imagine what the cities of tomorrow might look like.Participants in the Bureau of Little Architects workshop responded to the prompt ‘how can we design cities for the future?’. We let their imaginations run wild, drawing in conversations about ecology, architecture, and biodiversity along the way. The voice of the child is often invisible in conversations about future cities and planning but in the workshop, the Little Architects collaborated with parents, grandparents and carers to imagine a vision for our future cities through model buildings and an evolving manifesto.Presented as part of the Brisbane City Council Outdoor Gallery in partnership with Fish Lane Arts Precinct and Aria Property Group.
