The switch to weekly collection of green organic bins and yellow recycling bins over the peak summer period ended on 26 January 2024.
The cycle began on Monday 18 December 2023 and ended on Friday 26 January 2024. The collection of blue bins for general landfill waste remained fortnightly.

Australia Day Public HolidayThe Fleurieu Regional Waste Authority (FRWA) collected bins on the Australia Day Public Holiday.
The waste and recycling depots at Goolwa, Yankalilla, Kangaroo Island and Strathalbyn were closed for the public holiday.
Missed Bin? Leave it out for 24 HoursDue to the increased service, occasionally a street or area may need to be emptied the next day. If your street is not collected on your usual day, please leave your bin out for another 24 hours.
