The Town of Cambridge is committed to maintaining a vibrant and weed-free community, and as part of our ongoing efforts, we'd like to bring your attention to some essential updates regarding our weed spraying programmes.
Throughout the year, we diligently adhere to WA Health Guidelines to implement best practices in weed control, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents. In line with this commitment, residents have the option to request a five-metre exclusion on the verges and other public areas adjacent to their property.
Residents who have previously requested this exemption are reminded that the current exemptions will be coming to an end. To maintain your exclusion from our weed control efforts, we kindly ask all residents to re-register in January annually. The re-registration process takes approximately five business days to come into effect.

Upon re-registration, it is crucial for property owners/occupiers to uphold the responsibility of keeping the kerb, footpath, and adjacent park/open space (if applicable) weed-free. This is in line with the same standards achieved by chemical control. Failure to do so may lead to the Town undertaking weed control through chemical means.
