Gannawarra Shire Council and Northern District Community Health have partnered to develop a video that highlights how communities across the Gannawarra are recovering from the October-December 2022 floods.
The latest video in the Gannawarra Reflections video series builds on the development of a seven-video series in early 2023 that highlighted how residents were impacted by the October-December 2022 floods and how communities responded.
“The October-December 2022 floods impacted our communities in various ways, which was evident in the first videos produced in the Gannawarra Reflections video series,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
“This new video enabled us to return to these communities and speak to those who featured in the first group of videos to learn how the recovery process is going.”
Filming occurred during a two-day period at various locations, including Cohuna, Kerang, Koondrook, Murrabit, Quambatook, Reedy Lake and Tragowel.
“It is inspiring to see how the residents who feature in the video have fared following the floods, however for many of our residents, the past 12 months have been challenging,” Mr Rollinson said.
“We encourage residents to look out for family, friends, neighbours, new residents and the wider community.”
