Council has recently adopted a new Culture Development Plan (CDP) focused on improving its performance. Recognising the strategic importance of a healthy organisation, Council made it the first of five pillars in its recently adopted Our Place – Our Future: first steps directional term plan for the next three years.
The plan included specific strategies to improve workplace culture through leadership development and embedding new organisational values within the workforce. These new values were set by staff and councillors as the target organisational culture they wish to work in.
The values will not only be on display around the workplace, but they will also form the cornerstone of improved service delivery and be reflected in everything Council does.
