In any emergency, it pays to be prepared in advance:

???????? Make sure you have enough food, prescription medications, and supplies to last you a few days. ???? Check in on any neighbours or family who might need help. ????⚠️ Don’t park or camp under trees. Wet ground and stormy weather can cause trees and branches to fall. ????⚠️ Floods can force snakes and other wildlife out of their natural habitat. Be careful near flooded areas. ????⚠️ Mosquitos breed in stagnant water. Protect yourself from mosquitos by covering up and using personal insect repellent. ✅???? Learn what to do in the first 72 hours of an emergency.

???? Stay safe and avoid flooded areas. Floodwater can cause damage to roads and structures, and can contain strong currents, hidden objects, and contamination. ⛔ Never enter or drive through floodwater. ⛔
