Council’s 2023 – 2024 Reseal Program is currently being rolled out across the municipality. These works started in early November 2023 and will continue until the end of March 2024.
The focus of this program is to update the roads in need of repairing and resealing, to improve the access and safety of our region for all.
Ulverstone town boundaryBelow is a list of the main roads that will be targeted over the January – February period within the Ulverstone town boundary:
Lovett Street: Kings Parade to Ihlata Street (scheduled for 17th January 2024) Main Street and Eastland Drive intersection South Road and Queen Street Junction South Road to Amherst Street Queen Street to Alice Street South Road to Amherst Street Back streets and rural roadsCouncil’s contractors will also be working on various back streets and rural roads throughout the municipality. Some of the focus areas include:
Sections of Penguin Road (Old Coast Road) West Pine Road Top Gawler Road Isandula Road Preston Road Castra RoadOnce a date and time has been locked in with Council’s contractors, we will endeavour to give the community as much notice as possible through the media, social media and our Antenno service app.
What to expectCouncil tries to schedule road maintenance during times and days that cause as little impact to the community as possible. Single lane traffic will remain in place. However, short delays can be expected during this scheduled road maintenance.
