Located in Ulverstone, Hive is Central Coast’s cultural precinct and home to the Ulverstone Visitor Information Centre, Museum and Art Gallery, Planetarium and Tasmanian Science Centre. 

The Collection Store Project Officer will play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall management and preservation of the Central Coast’s Cultural Collection, contributing to the long-term sustainability and accessibility of the Central Coast’s cultural treasures.  This fixed-term position requires an individual with a strong background in museum studies, archival management or related fields to take the lead on this exciting project. 

With the Council having recently embarked on a cultural journey, where the focus is on the wellbeing of our people and the sustainable growth of our community, there has never been a more exciting time to join our team. 

Essential: Tertiary qualification in museum studies, archival management or equivalent experience in a related field and demonstrate understanding of and experience in collection management systems and archival processes. 

Salary and conditions: Full-time fixed-term position (three months), Central Coast Council’s Enterprise Agreement – Professional Officer Level 1.1- $37.24 per hour.  Hours of work may be negotiated with the successful candidate.
