Public notice: Blackwater landfill temporarily closed

Please be advised that the Blackwater Landfill will be temporarily closed due to an unforeseen fire on the premises.

Please avoid the area, as arriving on the scene may result in blocked entrances for emergency response teams.

Alternative waste locations:

Domestic waste – Bluff Transfer Station (Saturday hours are 8.00 am – 12.00 pm) Commercial waste – Lochlees Landfill (Saturday hours 8.00 am – 5.00 pm)

Council will update the community when Blackwater Landfill reopens.
