Applications are now open for round two of Redland City Council’s 2023-24 Community Grants program.
The program is designed to help local organisations deliver projects and initiatives that benefit the Redlands Coast community.
Grants are awarded across four categories, with funding up to $5000 available for organisation support, up to $10,000 each for project and conservation support, and up to $50,000 for Capital Infrastructure.
Funding provided during previous grant rounds has supported a range of local initiatives, including mental health workshops, first-aid training, community events and professional development.
Thousands of dollars have also been injected into local environmental and wildlife sustainability projects such as koala rescues, possum rehabilitation and bat conservation.
Council awarded more than $174,000 during round one, including $42,589 for organisation support, $17,930 for project support, $21,979 for conservation support and $92,142 for capital infrastructure.
Council is inviting eligible not-for-profit groups from across the city to share in the funding by applying for round two of the program before 17 March 2024.
Further information about Council’s grants programs, including details on how to apply and a list of previous recipients, is available on the Redland City Council grants and sponsorship webpage.
Other grant programs currently active include the Civic Support Fund, Village Events and Activation Grant, and the Sponsorship program.
