APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR NATURE STEWARDS PROGRAM
Applications are now open of the City of Ballarat’s third instalment of the Nature Stewards program.
The program, which is operated by the Victorian National Parks Association and hosted by local councils, is a great way for residents to gain knowledge about the local environment, learn practical skills and meet like-minded people.
The program features 10 weekly 3-hour class sessions and a further optional five four-hour field trips after some of the classes.

Reconstruction works have recently commenced on Morgan Street, Sebastopol. Approximately 380 metres of Morgan Street, between Crown Street and Grant Street will be widened and raised to allow for more traffic and assist in water flow to the drainage basin and decreasing flooding events.
The road will be closed for approximately 8 weeks, traffic management will be in place and access to residences and the Early Learning Centre remains. Thank you for your patience.
COMMUNITY BUDGET PRIORITIES REVEALED Following consultation in October last year, the following themes have emerged as the community’s top priorities in relation to the preparation of the City of Ballarat Budget 2024/25:
Next steps in the budget preparation process Council officers will present the updated budget forecasts for the current financial year (2023/24) at the February 28 Council Meeting, after which Council Officers will begin workshopping the 2024/25 Budget with Councillors.
