As part of Council’s commitment to simplifying the job application process and offering rewarding career opportunities, the Recruitment Day aimed to provide an easier, quicker, and more accessible path for interested individuals.

A total of 67 attendees, including 30 for Civil Infrastructure Maintenance and 37 for Parks, Sport, and Recreation, joined the day, contributing to the event's resounding success. Participants praised the event for its hands-on approach, relaxed atmosphere, and the clear information provided.

Council’s Manager Infrastructure Maintenance, Timothy Zak, said Council were extremely excited to see how successful the day was.

"We were pleased to see such a strong turnout at the Recruitment Day. It is fantastic to see the community’s interest in joining our team, and we are excited about the prospect of welcoming new members to our Infrastructure Maintenance department,” he said.

Acting Manager Parks, Sport, and Recreation, Steve Wilson, said he was thrilled to see so many people passionate about the outdoors.

“It is inspiring to see so many people attend and their willingness to make a difference in our outdoor spaces,” he said.

Council is now looking forward to welcoming dedicated individuals to its Parks, Sport, Recreation, and Infrastructure Maintenance teams, shaping the future of Greater Shepparton.
