Council today endorsed over $200,000 in funding to assist community groups and organisations deliver events, activities and programs that enhance the lives of residents, celebrate important community occasions, and provide opportunities to develop social cohesion and connection in the Cairns region.

The funding included $134,572 from the 2023/2024 Community Partnerships Grant stream and a further $65,600 from the 2024/2025 Community Partnerships Grant stream.

The following organisations will receive support for their events:
