Wyndham City is pleased to announce that Hoppers Crossing Family Centre (formerly Mossfiel Integrated Family Centre) is now operational.
Kindergarten started on 31 January and Maternal and Child Health services returned from 5 February 2024.
Geographic Names Victoria has also formally registered and gazetted the name ‘Hoppers Crossing Family Centre’.
Wyndham City Deputy Mayor and City Design portfolio holder, Councillor Josh Gilligan, said the formal gazettal of the name is an important milestone.
“I’m thrilled with the gazettal of the name Hoppers Crossing Family Centre, as well as the centre now being operational – this will allow residents to make full use of the services provided,” Cr Gilligan said.
The new centre replaces two aging early years centres at the site and increases the number of kindergarten places available to the community to support the Victorian Government’s Three- and Four-year-old Kindergarten reforms.
This project received $3 million in funding through the Victorian Government’s Building Blocks Capacity Grant Stream and was delivered by the Victorian School Building Authority.
Wyndham City made an additional financial contribution to this project.
