Friday, March 22, 2024, 3 – 5pm Edith Rewa Barrett is an Australian illustrator and textile designer. Her work is grounded in celebrating the diversity of Australia's natural environments - entwining the worlds of traditional botany with contemporary art and design spaces, whilst exhibiting native plantscapes that are underrepresented. Barrett’s work has been featured in the Design Files, and her work adorns the front cover of the Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, amongst other book and magazine titles.Edith will be live sketching at the Urban Oasis Pop Up in Queen Street Mall, working to capture the native flora nestled in the temporary gardens.
