Cardinia Shire Council’s free waste events “Detox Your Home” and “DrumMuster” are back for 2024.
Detox Your Home provides the community with a safe and easy way to dispose of unwanted common, toxic household chemicals without harming their health or the environment.
This includes most chemicals used in the bathroom, laundry, kitchen, shed, garage or garden.
Once dropped off, the collected chemicals are safely sorted and transported to a specialist waste treatment facility. Where possible, chemicals are recycled or used for other purposes such as energy recovery.
Additionally, DrumMuster provides a recycling alternative for commercial and residential community members for eligible, cleaned AgVet chemical containers. Drummuster containers must be empty and have the Drummuster logo.

Date: Saturday 20 April Time: 9am - 12pm (midday) Location: Council Depot (18 Purton Road, Pakenham) No registration required. Contact Council prior to the event if you have more than 100 containers.Detox your Home events are delivered in partnership with Sustainability Victoria.
