As part of council’s 2023-24 capital budget, the beloved Duaringa Community Centre received the much-needed installation of a new fence.
Due to the previous fencing being outdated and dilapidated, the works were identified as essential to improve the security of the building and enhance the appearance of the space.
General Manager Communities, John McDougall commented on the works.
‘This centre is regularly booked for local playgroups, and we know keeping those little ones safe is vital, so we are delighted they can now properly use the outdoor area in its entirety,’ he said.
‘These upgrades will benefit the community with this new fence to last for many years to come.’.
‘We are proud to deliver this project to the residents of Duaringa, and to all that use the venue!’ Mr McDougall finished.
Community members can now book the centre online through our website, it’s the perfect venue for small community events and workshops.
