Mareeba Shire Council would like to share with residents that a temporary change to parking conditions will occur on the corners of Byrnes Street, Atherton Street and Walsh Street Mareeba.

Council has approved a Hoarding Application from the Mareeba IGA Complex to install temporary scaffolding from 22 April 2024 until 20 June 2024, with the site establishment beginning Thursday, 18 April 2024.

During this period, temporary scaffolding will be in place and some car parks will be blocked off. Pedestrian access will be maintained while this work is completed.

This project will be completed in three stages.

1. Stage one:

22/04/24 to 11/05/24 (3 weeks) 13 car parks blocked off on the corner of Byrnes Street and Atherton Street

2. Stage two:

13/05/24 to 01/06/24 (3 weeks) 16 car parks blocked off along Atherton Street

3. Stage three:

27/05/24 to 20/06/24 (4 weeks) (no scaffolding required at this stage) 10 car parks blocked off on the corner of Atherton Street and Walsh Street
