A poignant intergenerational exhibition titled Mothers and Daughters will be on display at Crows Nest Gallery from May 1 to 26, 2024.
Mother and Daughters explores memory through new and existing artworks by Maria Lindquist and her four daughters Stephanie Lindquist, Fiona Lindquist, Rosamund Harrington and Marissa Lindquist.
The exhibition touches on the effects of Alzheimer's Disease on Maria’s art practice, while also celebrating the creative legacy of her daughters.
Through an intergenerational lens, Mother & Daughters uses collective storytelling, text, and image to interpret and re-present a selection of Maria’s oeuvre or artworks, highlighting how creativity can shape and inspire meaningful connections and communities of practice.
The exhibition’s Artists in Conversation event starts at 11am on Sunday, May 5, 2024. This is a free event, with no bookings required.
