Community groups and organisations seeking funding to support projects, programs, events and activities via Gannawarra Shire Council’s 2024 Community Grants Program now have an extra 12 days to apply for assistance.
The deadline for applications for this popular program has been extended, and will now close at 11.59pm Sunday, 12 May.
“Thank you to the numerous community group that have already completed an application or contacted Council’s Grants team about this popular program,” Mayor Ross Stanton said.
“For many years Council’s Community Grants Program has provided funding to local events, facility improvements and projects that foster social connection, and we look forward to awarding funding to successful applicants in the coming months.”
Community groups can apply for up to $5,000 for projects, programs, events and activities that meet the program’s essential criteria and align with the community vision outlined in the Growing Gannawarra – 2021-2025 Council Plan.
“It is strongly encouraged that interested applicants read the program guidelines to understand what is required for an application and if your project meets the requirements,” Mayor Stanton said.
