Restricted Burning Period Brought Forward to May 3

Section 17(7) of the Bush Fires Act 1954 enables a Local Government to vary the Prohibited Burning Period due to seasonal conditions.
In accordance with these provisions, notice is hereby given that the commencement date of the RESTRICTED BURNING PERIOD for the entire Shire of Collie has been moved forward from Thursday 9th of May to 12:01am Friday, 3rd of May.
During this period, camp and cooking fires are allowed after 6pm and are to be extinguished by 10am the next day or when unattended.
