We’re excited to announce the opening of the Truganina Community Centre and library lounge, located at 1 Everton Road in Truganina.
In the coming months, this state-of-the-art facility will offer a range of vital services including maternal and child health, and youth services.
The centre will also offer three and four-year old kindergarten in early 2025.
The $18.4 million centre will provide the community access to a wide range of community services in a safe, welcoming, and sustainable facility.
As a major asset for the city, this facility has been designed and constructed sustainably to be carbon neutral in operation and all-electric, targeting a 5-star Green Star rating.
The Centre will host community programs, events and activities and provide opportunities for residents to meet and connect, participate in community life, and access local services, programs, and information.
Deputy Mayor Councillor Josh Gilligan expressed immense enthusiasm for the centre, explaining that it is an incredible asset to the community.
“The residents of Truganina will benefit greatly from this fantastic new facility with all vital services under one roof,” said Cr Gilligan.
“This facility stands as a testament to our commitment to providing accessible and inclusive services that meet the diverse needs of our residents.”
“I’m thrilled to see this project come to fruition and look forward to witnessing the positive enrichment it beings to the community.”
Wyndham City thanks the Victoria Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund for contributing $4 million to this centre, Building Blocks Program for its $3 million contribution, and Living Libraries Infrastructure Program for its $921,169 contribution.
