Adam Marshall

Mayor Mark Johnson, Deputy Mayor Susannah Pearse and General Manager Kelvin Tytherleigh joined the HON. Adam Marshall MP for his valedictory Speech at Parliament yesterday.

Mr Adam Marshall commenced as the Member for Northern Tablelands 25 May 2013 and will cease that role 13 May 2024 after also having a nine-year career in Local Government as a Councillor and Mayor. During his political career, Adam has fulfilled many roles including.

· Minister for Agriculture and Western NSW · Minister for Tourism and Major Events · Speaker of the House · Parliamentary Secretary . For Regional Homes and Western NSW . For Northern NSW and Renewable Energy · Chair, Deputy Chair and Member of several Parliamentary Committees

Adam has carried out his role with passion, pride and commitment and has been the greatest advocate for the seven Local Government Areas that he represents. The energy he has displayed in this role has been second to none, making himself available to all in his community and graciously attending function after function with humility and generosity. Politically for our Shire Adam has been the most amazing ally. Our Council in this term has had Adam’s unwavering support and counsel across many issues including being on ground during our October 2022 flood, our ongoing Youth Crime Challenges and the re-confirmation of the NSW Government’s SAP investment.

Adam’s ability to cut through political lines to further the causes of his member Councils has been significant and not often seen. With his resignation our Shire loses a great advocate but most of all a great friend. We recognise his contribution to NSW politics and give him our best wishes for what his future holds.
