Time is running out for residents to have their say on Gannawarra Shire Council’s 2024/2025 Proposed Budget, with feedback accepted up to 5pm Friday, 16 May.
Council has been asking residents to have their say on the draft version of Council’s key annual financial document since 18 April, which can be downloaded at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/budget or viewed at Council’s Customer Service Centres at Cohuna and Kerang.
“Council thanks all residents who have provided feedback so far, and encourages those yet to do so to have their say,” Mayor Ross Stanton said.
“Council’s 2024/2025 Proposed Budget will continue to support key services our residents rely on and invest in some significant capital works projects, made possible thanks to the support of the State and Federal governments.
“This budget also demonstrates Council’s proven record of being fiscally responsible, with efforts to reduce costs resulting in a small surplus.”
Feedback regarding the 2024/2025 Proposed Budget can be provided in the following ways:
By visiting www.gsc.vic.gov.au/budget and completing an online form. By picking up a Have Your Say form from Council’s Customer Service Centres at Cohuna and Kerang and completing your form by the due date. By phoning Council on (03) 5450 9333. By mailing Gannawarra Shire Council at PO Box 287, Kerang VIC 3579.“Anyone needing assistance to provide feedback on Council’s 2023/2024 Proposed Council Budget are welcome to visit either the Cohuna or Kerang Customer Service Centres, where Council’s friendly staff are able to help,” Mayor Stanton said.
All feedback received will help formulate the final version of the 2024/2025 Budget, which is to be presented to the June 2024 Council Meeting, occurring on Wednesday, 26 June 2024.
