Quality & Compliance Officer (Water & Waste)

The role:

As our Quality & Compliance Officer (Water & Waste), you will provide coordination of drinking water quality, recycled water and referable dam safety management systems.

This position also involves the provision of strategic and technical advice associated with planning and operation of drinking water, wastewater and recycled water networks and facilities to ensure the safe delivery of drinking water, wastewater and recycled water to the Mareeba Shire Council community.

What we are looking for:

You will have a thorough knowledge of environmental legislation, processes and risk assessment associated with water, wastewater and solid waste You will have detailed working knowledge of the principles and application of drinking water, referable dam safety and recycled water management systems You will understand legislation relevant to this position and possess high-level knowledge of water industry practices and processes You will be highly organised and analytical, a good problem solver and be able to investigate and solve complex issues You will have well-developed written and verbal communication skills and digital literacy with the ability to utilise data bases and computer software You will have the ability to prepare and deliver presentations in a variety of forums
