ERV will be at the Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre (MEAC) on Wednesday 29 May 2024 from 12pm to 7.30pm for a community drop-in session. The team are wanting to speak with community members about the impact they have, and continue to experience, as a result of the storm and flood events, and the clean-up assistance they require.
ERV’s private property clean-up team will be available to give residents information about clean up on private properties and any support assistance they may be eligible to register for. Information will also be available for residents regarding:
Accessing mental health and wellbeing services Applying for payments and getting financial help Finding services to support your recovery Getting legal support Getting support for your business Progressing an insurance claim Tips to help you or your family cope with stressCouncil’s Manager Flood Recovery, Carla Dixon, encouraged impacted community members to attend the drop-in session and speak to the ERV representatives to find out what assistance is available.
“This is an important session to give Emergency Recovery Victoria and Council further information about the impact of these storm and flood events and what assistance was needed by residents in the days, weeks and months following,” she said.
“The information gathered will help inform an ongoing support program, and will ensure it is tailored to address the needs of the community. I encourage anyone who was impacted by the December 2023 storm event or the January 2024 flood event to drop in to MEAC at any time during the session and have a chat to the team.”
