Central Highlands Regional Council is responsible for the maintenance of around 5,000 km of roads throughout the region.
Below are the road work projects that have commenced or are scheduled over the next month.
Grading maintenance works
South: Bottle Tree Downs Road, 87A Dawson Development Road, Goathlands Road, Kareela Road, Nogun Road, Wealwandangie Road, Welcome Road and Vesta Road.
Central: Comet Downs Road, Howard Hall Lane, and Springton Road.
North: Nutholm Road.
East: Adams Road, Aroona Road, Cocklebinda Road, Duaringa Biloela Road (RMPC), Glendara Road, Namoi Road, Parkes Road, Pearl Creek Road, Redcliffe Road, and Sanders Road.
Floodways and culverts
87A Dawson Development Road (Springsure Tambo Road) (RMPC).Ongoing Construction Projects
South: 85A Defence Road.
Central: Mayfair Estate Rehabilitation (progressing), Park Avenue (handrail and guardrails in progress, footpath and culverts complete).
North: German Creek Crossing (first run of gabion baskets complete, commenced second run).
East: Doon Street, Blackwater (asphalt surfacing, kerb and channel, pathway works and installation of parking bays).
