Thursday, July 11, 2024, 9am – 12pm Learn 3D techniques (e.g. folding panels and collage) to describe a place through nature journaling. We will explore a place from many perspectives through different drawings and writing techniques. Participants will produce their own 3D nature journal pages. The practice of drawing or writing in response to nature (nature journaling) sharpens your observation skills, while also allowing you a quiet, relaxing experience immersed in nature. The journal you create might include one or a combination of facts, feelings, words, artwork and found objects, but it will be unique, and for you alone.Participants are required to bring a grey lead pencil (preferably 2B), permanent ink pen, and blank (unlined) journal or sketchbook.Please bring your own other favourite art materials if you like. Watercolour brushes, pencils and paints will also be available to use during the workshop.Paula Peeters is an ecologist, artist, and writer; and is also an enthusiastic grower of vegies and flowers, and keeper of chickens.
