Cobden’s future development potential is on the agenda at a forum to be held Wednesday 19 June at the Civic Hall.
Landowners, developers, businesses and interested residents are invited to attend from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.
A line-up of guest speakers will share knowledge about the property market, how to bring land forward for development, State Government initiatives, and the Cobden Structure Plan and other local planning issues.
Cobden Business network will share the results of a recent member survey on their top priorities. An update on the new ways Cobden aerodrome is being protected in the planning scheme will also be discussed.
Presenters include Davina Pickles and Alistair Tune from Ray White Camperdown, Cath Jenkins from Cobden Business Network, Ample Investments Director Gareth Bellchambers, and Aaron Moyne, Kevin Hazell and Justine Linley from Corangamite Shire Council.
South-West Ward Councillor Jo Beard said the forum would be an opportunity for people to come together to discuss development opportunities and barriers in the town.
“The forum builds on the Cobden Structure Plan which sets out a 20-year growth plan for the town,” Cr Beard said.
“Council recognises the potential of Cobden as a growing town, but we now need to work together across all parts of the community to make our plans for Cobden come to life.
“The forum is open to anyone with an interest, so I encourage people to register and come along,” she said.
Refreshments are available on the night. Please email [email protected] or call 5593 7100 to register your attendance.
