NAIDOC Celebrations across the Central Highlands for 2024

Central Highlands Regional Council invites you to join in celebrating NAIDOC Week 2024.

This year’s theme chosen by the National NAIDOC Committee, is ‘Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud.’

WHERE: Bauhinia Memorial Hall, Springsure

WHEN: Friday 21 June 2024 – 9.30 am until 11.00 am

WHAT: Flag raising, smoking ceremony, student speeches, and morning tea.

DUARINGA:

WHERE: The Old Library, Duaringa, Elizabeth Street

WHEN: Friday 12 July 2024 – 12.45 pm until 4.00 pm

WHAT: Flag raising ceremony, student speeches, activites, and afternoon tea.

EMERALD:

WHERE: Emerald Council Office Forecourt, Egerton Street

WHEN: Monday 8 July 2024 – 9.00 am until 12.00 pm

WHAT: Community March to Emerald Council office Forecourt, Flag raising ceremony, and morning tea.

BLACKWATER:

WHERE: Lions Park, Blackwater

WHEN: Friday 26 July 2024 – 9.30 am until 2.00 pm

WHAT: Flag raising ceremony, activities and market stalls, hot food and coffee van.
