Public notice: Planned hazard reduction burn – Emerald

Please be advised that there will be a hazard reduction burn along the Riverwalk Nogoa River Precinct in Emerald from 8.00 am, Sunday 23 June 2024, weather permitting. This burn is estimated to take 2-3 hours.

The walking trail will be closed for a period of time after the fire to monitor any potential danger. This post will be updated once the track is opened.

Nearby residents are advised to stay clear of the indicated zones, close all windows and doors, take precautions while driving, and prepare animals. Every attempt will be made to keep smoke to a minimum.
