Love your community? Want to have a say in what Wyndham is like in 2050?
Then take this opportunity to share your feedback and help create the next Wyndham 2050 Community Vision (previously Wyndham 2040 Community Vision) as part of the Future Wyndham project.
Over the next year, Council will be undertaking an extensive community engagement process to inform the creation of the Vision, and there are lots of opportunities to get involved.
Every Wyndham household will soon receive a short survey in their mailbox asking them for feedback on the current Vision, what the new Vision should include and what Council should prioritise over the next four years.
This survey will also be available on Wyndham City’s online engagement platform, The Loop.
You can also register to attend a community workshop or online session, or find a pop-up event in your area throughout July and August 2024.
For those keen to be involved in future stages of this project, and other projects, Wyndham City is also calling on all members of the community to sign up for the People’s Advisory Panel.
Panel members are consulted on a range of Council projects to provide meaningful community feedback and input based on their lived experiences and local knowledge.
As part of the Future Wyndham project, we’ll be randomly selecting around 150 members of the Panel in early 2025 to work together and create our draft Wyndham 2050 Community Vision.
We’ll also ask for your feedback on lots of different topics to help create the Council Plan, Long Term Financial Plan and Asset Plan.
Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Jennie Barrera, said the Future Wyndham project was a great opportunity for the entire Wyndham community to have their say on the future of our City.
“The Future Wyndham project will create the Wyndham 2050 Community Vision and help inform the next Council Plan and major long-term plans,” Cr Barrera said.
“The Vision highlights what our community wants Wyndham to be like in 26 years’ time and is the overarching document that guides everything we do as a Council.”
“Your feedback helps Council decide how we allocate funds, what projects we prioritise, how we look after existing assets and where we direct our resources.”
“We want to hear from as many residents as possible, so get involved, make your voice count and let’s shape our future together.”
The Future Wyndham survey and registrations for the People’s Advisory Panel are now open and will close at 11.59pm on Sunday 25 August.
