Cardinia Shire Council is seeking feedback on the concept design options for William Bruce (WB) Ronald Reserve Playground in Pakenham.
During the first phase of community engagement in late 2023, the community shared ideas for upgrading the playground. Following this engagement, Council developed two concept designs incorporating community feedback.
Both designs feature various play elements, such as slides, swings, and climbing areas. Other features include outdoor seating, bike racks and pathways.
Council is seeking feedback on the proposed playground designs to ensure they meet the community's needs and expectations.
Cardinia Shire Mayor, Councillor Jack Kowarzik, is encouraging the community to participate in the design process for the new playground.
"We are committed to creating inclusive and engaging spaces for our community to enjoy. We want the design for the WB Ronald Reserve Playground to reflect the desires of the local residents," Mayor Kowarzik said.
"We want to hear from the community so that we can incorporate their preferences into the final design, creating a playground that everyone can enjoy for years to come."
Consultation on the William Bruce (WB) Ronald Reserve Playground concept design is open until 31 July 2024. Community ideas and preferences will help shape the detailed design of the playground.
