Policy Review - Draft Public Interest Disclosure (PID) Policy At its meeting of 20 June Council resolved to place the Draft Public Interest Disclosure (PID) Policy on public exhibition for a period of 28 days.

Section 42 of the PID Act requires that Council have a Public Interest Disclosure Policy. This document is Council’s Public Interest Disclosure Policy.

Council takes reports of serious wrongdoing seriously. Council is committed to building a ‘speak up’ culture where Public Officials are encouraged to report any conduct that they reasonably believe involves wrongdoing. The integrity of Council relies upon Councillors, staff, volunteers, contractors and subcontractors speaking up when they become aware of wrongdoing.
