Policy Review - Draft Fraud and Corruption Control Plan

At its meeting of 20 June Council resolved to place the Draft Fraud and Corruption Control Plan on public exhibition for a period of 28 days.

The potential occurrence of Fraud or Corruption is a risk faced by all local government authorities, including Council. Fraud and Corruption risks may be realised due to the conduct of internal actors, such as Council Officials, or external actors, such as Contractors.

This Plan, together with the Policy, describe in detail the strategies adopted by Council to prevent, detect and respond to Fraud and Corruption. Implementing effective Fraud and Corruption control measures helps Council to achieve objective L1.4 of Council’s Community Strategic Plan 2032, being to operate with integrity, be transparent and hold ourselves and each other accountable to deliver.
