Wyndham City is thrilled to announce it was a successful applicant for a $50,000 Tiny Towns Grant from the State Government.
This funding, combined with an additional $50,000 contribution from Wyndham City, brings a grand total of $100,000 for an exciting development of the Possy Newland Youth Shed in Little River.
This innovative project will transform a six-meter container into a dynamic youth space where Youth Services and other stakeholders will engage young people through sports and recreation.
The Possy Newland Youth Shed will feature a brand-new container space for community activities, furnished with new furniture and equipment.
Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Jennie Barrera, expressed enthusiasm for the project, thanking the State Government for its contribution and recognition of Little River.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for our community and the young people of Little River,” Cr Barrera said.
“The Possy Newland Youth Shed will provide a dedicated space for our young people to connect, grow, and thrive and we are committed to supporting our youth and this project reflects that commitment."
“We look forward to seeing the positive impact this space will have on our community.”
