A textiles exhibition that explores the diversity and detail found in nature will be displayed at Goombungee’s Rosalie Gallery from July 24 to August 18, 2024.

Titled, A Delicate Balance, the exhibition reflects on the notion of changing habitats.

Suzanne Bauer and Jo Eagle highlight the delicate balance of environmental change through fibre and mixed media works.

Through an ever-expanding collection of textile fantasy flowers based on the unique features of Australian indigenous flora, Suzanne asks the question, ‘How will plastic pollution affect the future evolution of our unique flora?’.

Jo’s work reflects the changes and resulting adaptions of creatures as they adjust to new environments.

Using a storybook scenario, the beautiful mother moth is facing the destruction of her habitat and ponders the survival of her offspring.

The exhibition’s Meet the Artists Day will be held from 10.30am to 3.30pm on Saturday, July 27. All are welcome at the free event and no bookings are required.
