On Thursday, 11 July the Shire of Coolgardie Seniors Staying Connected programme delivered a Thermomix demonstration, which left attendees captivated and eager to explore new horizons in their kitchens.
The demonstration aimed to introduce the seniors to the capabilities of Thermomix, a multifunctional kitchen appliance known for its efficiency and versatility. For many attendees, accustomed to traditional cooking methods, this demonstration represented a gateway to embracing contemporary culinary techniques.
Under the guidance of Sherina Coleman and Sarah Cole, local Thermomix enthusiasts, participants marvelled at the appliance's ability to blend, chop and steam—all with the touch of a button. The device effortlessly prepared a delicious and most enjoyable mushroom soup and chicken dumplings in minutes.
In an age where cooking is often seen as a chore, programs like these remind us that with the right tools and a dash of curiosity, every meal can be a delightful adventure.
Big thank you to both Sherina and Sarah for giving their time to come along and deliver such an enjoyable event.
If you’re 63 years of age or over, live in the Shire of Coolgardie, be able bodied (unless accompanied by a carer) come along and join us on this wonderful Seniors Staying Connected Thursday fortnightly program.
