Nominations are now open for the Cardinia Shire Council's annual Good Choice Awards.
The Good Choice Awards recognise and celebrate young people aged 12-24 who demonstrate resilience, kindness, and strength in their decision-making throughout 2024.
This might include prioritising study, applying for a job, making informed choices about their health and safety, accessing support networks, prioritising life goals and aspirations, choosing to spend time with positive influences, and engaging in school or returning to study with confidence.
Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Jack Kowarzik encourages the community to nominate a young person who has made commendable choices throughout the year.
"I am always inspired by our young people's determination and decision-making. It is wonderful to have a formal opportunity to acknowledge their brave choices to reach their goals and aspirations," said Mayor Kowarzik.
Nominations for the Good Choice Awards close on Friday, 13 September.
Council will hold a celebratory event in December to recognise all young people nominated for a Good Choice Award.
Nominate a young person by completing the online nomination form.
