Telstra will be upgrading its Cocklebiddy (Eyre Highway, Cocklebiddy) mobile base station by adding additional infrastructure to bring new 4G coverage to the community, but the works will require a series of temporary outages or reduction in mobile coverage.

These improvements will temporarily impact Telstra mobile coverage from this site from 31st July to 1st August 2024. Customers along the Eyre Highway between Cocklebiddy and surrounds are likely to experience slower than usual data speeds. Every attempt will be made to keep the outages to a minimum.

31st July and 1st August 2024 daily between 0700 hours to 1700 hours 4 hour outages: there will be a continuous outage of all mobile services from this site.

Telstra mobile customers will receive text messages advising of the upcoming work.

Landline services, NBN internet services and mobile coverage from other providers will not be impacted. Any calls to Triple Zero from a Telstra mobile when the site is off air will automatically be diverted to any working mobile network for connection to emergency services.

If all goes according to plan and weather permitting the mobile upgrade will be completed on the 1stAugust 2024.
