DPLH Advertises Ocean Village Site Development Application

Published on 29 July 2024

The Department of Planning, Lands & Heritage (DPLH) has advertised a development application for the proposed redevelopment of the Ocean Village Shopping Precinct, which is now open for public consultation for 32 days from 26 July to 26 August 2024.

The Town of Cambridge encourages residents and stakeholders to review the proposal and make a submission to the DPLH online by the 26 August consultation period closing date.

Additionally, the application was formally referred to the Town for comment on 26 July. The Town will present a report to Council outlining its position on the proposal at the 17 September 2024 Ordinary Council Meeting, and the Town will provide its response to the DPLH by 20 September 2024.

The Town is not the decision maker of the proposal.

The application will be assessed by the DPLH and determined by the State Government’s Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC).
