Public notice: Valve and hydrant works – Emerald

Please be advised that water supply will be affected in Emerald due to valve and hydrant works on the following dates and locations:
Thursday, 1 August 2024, from 9 pm to 1 am: Campbell St, Copland, Garnet St, Cominos St and Retro St. Friday, 2 August 2024, from 1 am to 5 am: Long St, Barton St, Slack Drive. Friday, 2 August 2024, from 9 pm to 1 am: Braeside Rd, Borilla St, Park Ave, Jaqueline Dr, Alamein Dr, Vicky Close, Colleen Ave & Rosanne Ave. Saturday, 3 August 2024, from 1 am to 5 am: Hicks St, Beezley St, McCosker St, Batts St, McKenzie St, Brown St, Glasson St, Daniels St. Saturday, 3 August 2024, from 9 pm to 1 am: Loch St, Copland St, Saffola Pl, Cominos St, Borilla St, Dawn Cres, Julie Close, Judith Grove, Garnet St. Sunday, 4 August 2024, from 1 am to 5 am Long St, Barton St, Slack Drive.The contractor, Comlek, will replace valves and hydrants affecting the water supply in the above areas. Unfortunately, the work will generate noise; however, the team will limit this as far as possible.
After these works, your water might experience slight discoloration. It is recommended that you run the water for a short period. If this persists, please contact the council on 1300 242 686.
