The Shire of Boddington has successfully secured $85,077 in grant funding from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services' Mitigation Activity Fund to reduce bushfire risk within the Shire.

This grant will support essential mitigation works, including the installation of firebreaks and fire access tracks, mechanical works such as mulching, and the installation of gates to reserves. Notable projects include widening and repairing firebreaks in the reserve near Fairway Place and constructing a fire access track connecting Mitchell Crescent to River Road.

Residents in these areas will be notified before any work begins.
