Council has issued its half-yearly rates notices with a due date of 21 August 2024.
Ratepayers severely impacted by the recent flood event caused by ex-Tropical Cyclone Jasper can apply for financial assistance in the form of an extended interest-free payment arrangement.
To apply, people can complete the rates hardship relief online form at or call 1300 69 22 47.
Once your application has been received, a member of the revenue team will be in contact to discuss repayment options.
This financial relief applies to residential, commercial and rural ratepayers.
Council has also made changes to the Pensioner Concession Policy, including:
Increasing the Council concession from $300 to a maximum of $320 per annum, for applicants approved since 1 July 2022, andOpening the eligibility criteria to co-ownership where not all owners are eligible pensioners (refer to Policy for details). Council has automatically applied this concession to existing applicants.
