The role:
As our Senior Water & Waste Technical Officer, your main focus will be to ensure compliance with legislation for water and waste-related contracts and services. You will achieve this by providing efficient technical, operational and project delivery support. In this role you will assist in developing program planning and water and waste section asset management will be considered a priority. The Senior Water & Waste Technical Officer will be involved in the implementation of associated activities relating to the Queensland waste levy, drinking water quality management and referable dam safety management systems.
What we are looking for:
You will have a tertiary qualification in science, an environmental field or a relevant discipline You will have demonstrated experience in a similar, relevant role in waste, water or a related industry You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders You will have the demonstrated ability to critically review technical data and prepare reports for Council and other correspondence You will have data monitoring and reporting experience in waste, water or a related industry You will have strong computer literacy and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and databasesWhat we can offer you:
