Wyndham City is pleased to announce that the construction tender for the Mossfiel Drive (Heaths Road to Branton Road) and Moffatt Crescent road reconstruction project has been successfully awarded, with works commencing in the coming weeks.
This project will include various improvements, including the installation of new footpaths, road asphalting, line marking, and the construction of new gutters.
Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Jennie Barrera, said this project demonstrates Wyndham City’s dedication to enhancing road safety and ensuring the longevity of our local roads.
“By investing in crucial upgrades, we are taking proactive steps to create more efficient travel for all residents,” said Cr Barrera.
“With this reconstruction project, we are not only improving road conditions but also creating a safer environment for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists alike.”
“Enhancing local roads remains a top focus in Wyndham City’s 2023/24 budget. This year, we’re allocating $8.4 million to reconstruct 12 roads across our community,” Cr Barrera said.
“And in the 2024/25 Annual Plan and Budget, we have dedicated a further $52.6 million to fund important road works across the municipality.”
The works are expected to conclude mid-2025.
